Sport Discipline: Triathlon

Most memorable moment in your multisport career: A memorable moment in my multisport career so far is winning the 2017 Age Group Olympic Distance National Championship. Winning was a goal I had only recently allowed myself to entertain, as I previously doubted I was capable of such an achievement as an athlete. Going beyond my preconceived limit to succeed on that day enabled me to never again put limits on the dreams I could pursue. That day represents for me the gift of opportunity that triathlon provides to grow in confidence as an individual. I carry the growth I experienced that day with me in my triathlon training and races, but also in other areas of my life including my relationships with friends and family, my work career outside of triathlon, and my future life aspirations.
