Dawn Marshall

About Dawn: I discovered triathlon in my 40's after choosing to make my health a priority. I gave up smoking and poor eating habits and created space in my busy professional and family schedule to train. It has since transformed my life and I have recently been working on fulfilling my purpose and passion for health and fitness by completing coaching certifications in USAT Level 1 and Youth and Junior, Integrative Health, and Mindfulness Teaching. For my four children and I, multisport and running have become a way of living a healthy lifestyle. I volunteer my time as a coach for teens and youth to help them develop their skills, confidence, and self-esteem and have fun. I am looking forward to inspiring others to achieve their health and athletic goals.

Sport Discipline: Triathlon, Duathlon

Most memorable moment in your multisport career: I still remember my first all women sprint triathlon. As I looked around the diverse group I realized we all shared one thing in common, a sense of empowerment as we accomplished our goal to finish. I discovered that day that triathlon was much more than just a physical sport. The most memorable times have been proudly racing in the Team USA uniform at Worlds but also sharing the experience with my children who also race locally, nationally, and for Team USA.

Sport Career Highlights: Team USA Standard Duathlon (Fyn 2018 ITU, Ponteverde 2019 ITU), Nationals Standard Duathlon (2017, 2018), Nationals Olympic Triathlon 2018, Triathlon Regional Championships Olympic Distance (2017, 2018)
