Military Grant Programming

In 2018 USA Paratriathlon has been awarded a $44,000 grant through the Department of Veterans Affairs' Adaptive Sports Programs for Disabled Veterans and Disabled Members of the Armed Forces to help fuel paratriathlon growth among U.S. veterans for the triathlon season.

Event Travel Assistance

Unfortunately, USA Paratriathlon will no longer receive the funding to provide event travel assistance through the military program. We are in the process of exploring other opportunities with hopes to continue the travel assistance program in the future.

2018 Camps & Clinics

2018 Paralyzed Veterans of America Triathlon Camp

What: USA Triathlon and the Paralyzed Veterans of America will be hosting a Paratriathlon camp for all skill levels that wish to apply.  This camp will focus on the para-specific dynamics of swimming, biking, and running, as well as other aspects of triathlon (basic nutrition, transition area, etc.).  You DO NOT need to be a military veteran to apply and participate, so please share this information with whomever you think will be interested.

When: May 16-20, 2018

Where: United States Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado

More Info: All travel and accommodation costs (including on campus meals) will be covered.  Participants will stay at the Colorado Springs OTC, where Olympic hopefuls live and train.  If you are accepted, there will be a small (no more than $100) non-refundable fee that is required, to limit the number of cancellations.  This fee will be put towards each individuals’ travel/accommodation.

2018 United States Association of Blind Athletes Triathlon Camp

 

What: USA Triathlon and USABA will be hosting a Paratriathlon camp for all skill levels that wish to apply.  This camp will focus on the para-specific dynamics of visually impaired swimming, biking, and running, as well as other aspects of triathlon (basic nutrition, transition area, etc.).  

When: August 22-26, 2018

Where: United States Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado

2018 Amputee Coalition Triathlon Camp

 

What: USA Triathlon and the Amputee Coalition of America will be hosting a Paratriathlon camp for all skill levels that wish to apply.  This camp will focus on the para-specific dynamics of swimming, biking, and running, as well as other aspects of triathlon (basic nutrition, transition area, etc.).  

When: August 30 - September 3, 2018

Where: United States Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado
