Viewing the Map: How do I see where we are?!
This challenge features an awesome map feature and you will be able to see your team's cumulative progress as you swim, bike and run from the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to Odaiba Marine Park in Tokyo!
Note that for the sake of this challenge it DOES NOT MATTER which order you and your team swims, bikes or runs. Your team simply progresses across the map by your total cumulative team distance. It could be 6,359 miles of biking and no swimming or running. Or you can split the distances equally. Just get from Colorado Springs to Tokyo!
To view the map:
- Be sure you are logged into FitRankings.com and viewing the Power Within Virtual Tri to Tokyo presented by MANSCAPED event (click the challenges tab at the very top of the page, then click the challenge).
- Click the 'Results' tab under the Tri to Tokyo logo.
- Click the 'Map' tab (next to leaderboard).
- Here you can see your team's logo on the Tri to Tokyo route from Colorado Springs to Tokyo!

Your team's total distance is calculated cumulatively, encompassing all swimming, biking and running uploads.
Do I have to complete all of the distance in one run or bike ride?
If your team can complete all 5,843 miles in one workout, we would be very impressed! But you have from July 19 to September 12 to complete the challenge. The challenge is cumulative so you can swim, bike and run as much or as little as you want and as often as you want to achieve the distances. You can also exceed the distances listed.

No, you do not need to be a USA Triathlon member to register.
If you plan on participating in future USA Triathlon sanctioned events we encourage you to register for a membership to waive race-day registration fees. What if I have technical errors and my device did not record my stats properly?
There is likely a problem with how your device is connected. Please refer to THIS PAGE for more details on how to address this.
What if I did not receive my Finisher's Package or it is damaged?
For any fulfillment issue please reach out to virtualtri@usatriathlon.org with any questions.
What if I registered for the free version, but I now want to purchase a finisher's medal?
Participants can fundraise as team for a finisher's medal. For every $100 your team raises, you'll receive a finisher's medal. Have a family member or friend who isn't a multisport athlete but wants to support the USA Triathlon's mission of providing all young athletes with the opportunity to participate in multisport and lead healthy and active lives. Create your personal fundraising page here!
How are my results uploaded?
When using a tracking device, your results are uploaded to FitRankings every-time you sync your device with its respective app. For instance, when you sync your workouts with your Wahoo Fitness app, all workouts from your Wahoo Fitness app will be uploaded automatically. Note that you must have previously connected each device you track workouts on to FitRankings for this to occur.
