The USA Triathlon Women’s Committee is pleased to announce Moira Horan, 59, from Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, as the winner of the 2015 Spirit of Judy Flannery Award. Established in 1997, the award honors Grand Masters multisport athlete Judy Flannery, who served as the first Women's Commission chair and was killed in a bike accident.

The USA Triathlon Women's Committee is pleased to announce the 2015 Matching Reimbursable Grant Program is open for submissions. The grant program, which has grown in the past few years to support more opportunities for female triathletes, will be awarding THREE (3) matching, reimbursable $2,000 grants to programs that are directly involved with women in the sport of triathlon.

This past summer at the 2014 USA Triathlon Age Group Championships in Milwaukee, Wisc., the Women’s Committee hosted a booth at the Expo and many female triathletes stopped by to share their success stories and express excitement about the recent NCAA Emerging Sports for Women status. We had a raffle with some neat USAT swag and the lucky winner was Emily Ridgeway, President of the Mizzou Triathlon Club (University of Missouri-Columbia). On November 2, 2014 she will be competing at the first Women's Triathlon NCAA Championship in the draft-legal sprint distance event.
