The grants will be used to further the growth of their programs that support and foster girls and women’s participation in the sport of triathlon.
"The women's committee is thrilled with the strong applications we received from many organizations dedicated to growing women's participation in our sport," said Tara Comer, Chair Women’s Committee.
Lana Fountain, the WC Grants Program Coordinator, has worked with the committee and revamped the process and doubled the size of the grant program. They look to increase the amount of grants awarded in the coming year.
“The Committee is excited to fund these great programs and develop new avenues for women to compete in triathlon. We're energized by the response to this grant opportunity, and were committed to finding new sources of support for organizations who share our mission," said Comer.
The USAT Women’s Committee 2015 matching reimbursable grant cycle is open. USAT-certified clubs, groups or associations interested in applying for the next round can review the guidelines and application form HERE.
