Volunteer Opportunities

Consider volunteering at any of the following 2021 National Events! This is a great opportunity for coaches to network and get in front of athletes! COVID precautions will take place at all events. Please email Melissa Otterbein, Education Manager: melissa.otterbein@usatriathlon.org with questions.

Area of Focus Courses

These courses provide instruction in Youth and Junior, Paratriathlon, Short Course, or Long Course certification. Coaches certified after Jan. 1, 2021 are required to take one course before their recertification date. Coaches can take as many Area of Focus courses as they choose. Coaches will earn 5 USAT CEUs for any additional courses they take besides one required Area of Focus course of your choice. Please note, in order to earn a Level II Youth and Junior, Paratriathlon, Short Course, or Long Course certification, an LI Area of Focus in this corresponding area is required.

Outspoken: Women in Triathlon Summit Nov. 12-14, 2021, virtual

The Outspoken: Women in Triathlon Summit brings together triathletes, coaches, & industry professionals to elevate women's triathlon and drive forward inclusion & equity in triathlon. The Summit provides attendees opportunities to connect with people motivated to grow triathlon, hear from industry leaders, develop leadership skills related to their role in the sport, and advocate for equity & inclusion. College Club Coach Opening

University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Triathlon Club Coaching position:  The UCLA Triathlon club is looking for a dynamic and dedicated coach to continue the strong legacy of our program.  We are looking for a coach who is a strong communicator, especially for new triathletes, and can guide a group of beginner to highly experienced student athletes to be successful and engaged in the sport of Triathlon.  This person must be available to coach in person multiple times during the week and at least one day on the weekend.  They must also be able to provide structured workouts for all aspects of triathlon disciplines, for a large group of athletes who have varying talent and experience levels.   This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a very fulfilling and exciting segment of the sport of triathlon.  All interested individuals should contact Abby Douglas at uclatri@gmail.com or text at (760) 828-1822.
