COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Triathlon today announced it has renewed its partnership with TriBike Transport (TBT), a full-service bike transport company based in Asheville, North Carolina, through the 2022 season.
USA Triathlon’s Official Bike Transport Provider since 2018, TBT offers a variety of transport services including both Fully Assembled and Pack & Ship options. The company will offer discounted rates throughout the season to competitors at select USA Triathlon National Championship events, as well as to those representing Team USA at certain International Triathlon Union (ITU) Age Group World Championships.
TBT provides a convenient, stress-free transport experience, allowing athletes to travel through the airport without oversized baggage and collect their bikes and race gear directly at the event.
“TBT was launched with the goal of easing the challenges athletes face when traveling to triathlon events across North America and around the world,” said Marc Lauzon, Founder and President of TBT. “We are proud of the work we have done with USA Triathlon to date and look forward to continuing to grow the partnership and providing hassle-free transport services to athletes racing in the U.S. and internationally.”
“Thousands of USA Triathlon members have come to rely on TriBike Transport to safely and economically deliver their bikes to races in the U.S. and around the world,” said Chuck Menke, USA Triathlon CMO. “The company’s ease of use, reliability and affordability have led it to become a key component of the race-weekend experience for our athletes, and we look forward to continue providing preferred access for members.”
TBT now delivers bikes safely and conveniently to more than 100 triathlon and cycling events annually around the world. In 2011, the service expanded from continental North America to include overseas event locations such as Puerto Rico and St Croix. TBT announced a new partnership with TransBikeMex in 2014 and began shipping bikes for Mexican athletes to many North American events. In 2019, another new partnership began with IRONMAN® Europe and the team at Ship My Tri Bike to launch TriBike Transport Europe (TBT Europe).
Registered competitors at select USA Triathlon-owned National Championships (Duathlon, Collegiate Club & High School and Toyota Age Group), as well as Team USA age group athletes competing at the ITU Multisport World Championships Festival and the ITU Age Group Sprint and Standard-Distance Triathlon World Championships, will receive information about discounted rates and reservations for TBT via email in the lead-up to each event.
