COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Triathlon today announced a three-year partnership with Pilates for Sports, an online Pilates training program that focuses on strength and conditioning for multisport athletes.
The Australia-based company specializes in 10-week challenges to improve triathlon performance with a combination of Pilates workouts and technique training. Workouts are provided digitally, require no specialized equipment and are suitable for all levels of experience, from first-timers to world champions.
Members of the U.S. National Team, Toyota U.S. Paratriathlon National Team, and Project Podium men’s elite development squad will receive full complimentary access to Pilates for Sports’ workout programs. All USA Triathlon annual members receive one complimentary 10-week challenge and a 10 percent discount on additional challenges.
“Pilates For Sports is extremely proud to be partnering with USA Triathlon,” said James Heath, Co-Founder (with Noeleen O’Shea) of Pilates for Sports. “We aim to build partnerships with organizations that share our values, especially our belief in embracing new ideas and technologies that have a positive impact on people’s lives. We are excited to offer USA Triathlon members a chance to experience this innovative strength and conditioning program that is designed to make their swim, bike and run results even better than before. We look forward to meeting members at upcoming events and welcoming the winners of our Noosa contest to Australia.”
“USA Triathlon is proud to partner with Pilates for Sports to promote strength and mobility training for all athletes, regardless of competitive level,” said Chuck Menke, Chief Marketing Officer at USA Triathlon. “The 10-week challenges build well-rounded triathletes while helping to prevent injury, and the digital platform provides convenient access to athletes no matter where they live.”
Pilates for Sports will also hold a contest to offer up to five free trips to Noosa, Australia, for USA Triathlon members to attend Pilates for Sports’ exclusive five-day training camp (Oct. 31-Nov. 5, 2019) and participate in the Noosa Triathlon on Nov 3. Winners of the contest will receive a prize package including free round-trip flights and accommodations for two (the athlete and a guest).
To enter the contest, USA Triathlon members must complete at least two 10-week Pilates for Sports challenges. After completing the challenges, entrants must share a photo and an inspirational story of how Pilates For Sports has assisted in their triathlon journey as part of official entry form available via their Pilates for Sports accounts. The winners will then be determined by a panel of judges. Click here for complete details.
In addition, one prize drawing each will be conducted onsite at the 2019 USA Triathlon Collegiate Club & High School National Championships, 2019 Toyota USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships and 2019 Legacy Triathlon. The prize package for these events includes one free entry to the 2019 Noosa Triathlon on Nov. 3, and free round-trip flights and accommodations for two (the athlete and a guest). All participating athletes will be eligible to enter the drawing.
