Our Favorite Team Outfits from Nationals

The 2018 USA Triathlon Collegiate Club and High School National Championships might be over, but the memories from a fun weekend in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, will never go away.

That’s especially true, considering many of the athletes can now simply open up their closet for a funny reminder of the big event.

The 120 collegiate clubs brought not only great multisport competition to Alabama. They also came through with some of the best and most hilarious team outfits we’ve seen at USA Triathlon.

So, we decided to list our favorite ones. And, you can vote on them too.

Stanford University

It was pretty hard to miss these guys in Tuscaloosa. Because, if the Stanford Tri team wasn’t racing, it could have been directing traffic around the venue.

The University of Colorado Boulder

Come on, who doesn’t love the Minions? One of the biggest triathlon teams at the event came up big in the team outfit department with its ode to "Despicable Me."

Colorado State University

The rivals of the Buffaloes also rivaled them in team apparel. The Rams pulled off a hilarious Steve Irwin crocodile hunter theme in Alabama, and the croc outfit--which we initially called a dinosaur (sorry, CSU)--provided a whole lot of entertainment for the athletes all weekend.

Texas A&M University

Don’t let the straight faces fool you. The Aggies had a whole lot of fun at Collegiate Club Nationals, and they provided one of the best outfits from the weekend.

University of Minnesota

It’s easy to see why the Golden Gophers were the winner of our “Team Spirit” award this year. Minnesota was loud and proud all weekend at Collegiate Club Nationals. Oh, and those pants are awesome.
