Hamilton CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup

U.S. athletes also raced in Bermuda this weekend at the Hamilton CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup. Eli Hemming (Kiowa, Colo.) came away with a win in the men’s elite race. Fellow American Jason West (Breinigsville, Pa.) and Canadian Alexis Lepage placed second and third respectively. In the women’s elite race, Kaitlin Donner (Satellite Beach, Fla.) placed second. She shared the podium with two Canadians: race winner Dominika Jamnicky and third-place finisher Emy Legault.

Solid day out today at #hamiltonCC. Would have liked to be on the top step, but it's been a long time since I've been popping the champagne on the podium. It's great to be back up there. I'm building into this year nicely. Lots more racing to come and big things to come. All headed in the right direction. Now to get ready for the next one #bermuda #itu #triathlon #jasonsmash @altocycling @kiwamitriathlon

Bermuda showed off all weekend with absolutely gorgeous weather, loved getting to explore the island! Congrats to everyone that raced this weekend and thanks to the LOC for making us feel so welcome!

Jackson finished two minutes back from runner-up Dylan Gleeson of Canada, and just over four minutes behind race winner Michael Poole of New Zealand. In the women’s race, Sara Gibson took the win in 4:44:19. Deanna Newman was second in 4:44:44, while Marni Sumbal rounded out the podium in 4:48:03.

Had such a fun day at #imfl703 We were fortunate with cooler weather but that course is no joke. Challenging and technical bike with a 3 loop undulating run. It wouldn't have been possible without all the volunteers out there and all the spectators cheering us on. I know I fed off everyone's encouragement. Awesome day of racing to say the least. Now it's less than two weeks until the big day!! • • • #teamemj #cleanupnice #everymanjack #lululemon #sockguy #swimbikerun #triathlon #triathlete #ironman #ironman703 #ironmanracing #raceweekend #podium #raceweek
