From the beginning, Elizabeth Baker wanted to be an IRONMAN. Like the motto she lives by, Baker believed she could, so she did. And the perseverance paid off. The mother of two reached her long course goals and is now poised for success as she toes the line in Rio on Sept. 11. What’s a typical day like for Baker? Chaos. From helping her children get ready for school to working from home, doing physical therapy chart reviews, to squeezing in two hours of training before the kids get home — then it’s off to a sporting event. While her life is often hectic, she hasn’t let that slow her down. “Don’t ever let your fears or anxieties keep you from pursuing anything in life,” Baker says.
