Triathlon made its Special Olympics World Games debut Sunday in Los Angeles. Nineteen Special Olympics athletes competed side by side with elite triathletes, celebrities and multisport fans for the 1/2-mile swim, 11-mile bike and 3-mile run. Noah Dellas and Benjamin Heitmeyer won gold medals for the U.S. men while Amy Noctor and Courtney Dreyfus won silver and bronze, respectively, for the U.S. women.
