TEMPE, Ariz. — Hundreds of USA Triathlon Certified Coaches from across the country and abroad gathered Oct. 26-27 in Tempe, Arizona, for the 2018 Art & Science of Triathlon International Coaching Symposium. Featuring a dynamic lineup of international and national experts in triathlon, the Art & Science Coaching Symposium offered coaches the chance to learn the science of endurance sport and network with fellow passionate triathlon coaches.

The keynote presenter was Alex Hutchinson, a journalist who writes about the science of endurance for Outside magazine and other publications. Hutchinson (@sweatscience) wrote the New York Times bestseller "Endure: Mind Body, and the Curiously Elastic Limits of Human Performance." Before becoming a journalist, he worked as a postdoctoral physicist and competed for the Canadian national team in track, cross-country, and mountain running. He lives in Toronto.
