Athletes from across the world gathered at Sarasota's Nathan Benderson Park for a weekend-long celebration of multisport at the Sarasota-Bradenton Triathlon Festival from Oct. 7-8. Saturday's races included an Age Group Draft-Legal World Qualifier, which qualified top finishers for the 2018 ITU Age Group Sprint Triathlon World Championships in Gold Coast, Australia; an ITU Triathlon World Cup for elite women, the first U.S. stop on the ITU World Cup circuit since 2009; and the Women's Collegiate Triathlon East Regional Qualifier, the final regional qualifier before the Women's Collegiate National Championships next month in Tempe.
