The 2017 Regional Championship races occurring prior to August 1, 2016, qualify the top 33 percent or top five (whichever is greater) competitors per their respective age groups for the 2017 Olympic-Distance National Championships in Omaha, Nebraska, on August 12. Any Regional Championship occurring after August 1, 2017, will qualify the top 33 percent or top five (whichever is greater) competitors per their respective age groups for the 2018 USA Triathlon Olympic-Distance National Championships.

Additionally, athletes can only qualify at a Regional Championship or Special Qualifier if racing standard distance. No other distance will allow for qualification.

All athletes must be at least 17 years old by Dec. 31, 2017, to qualify for the Olympic-Distance National Championships.
