USA Triathlon is heading east to Greenville, S.C. for the 2018 Duathlon National Championships!
USA Triathlon is pleased to offer three races in Greenville. On Saturday, April 7, the Draft-Legal Sprint National Championship will take place and on Sunday, April 8, Non-drafting Sprint and Standard National Championships will be awarded. Whether you are looking for the opportunity to become a national champion or simply participate in the most competitive duathlon in the U.S., this race is for you.

As in past years, you can race in all three championship events. No qualification is required to participate in any of the three events.

For athletes participating in the Draft-Legal National Championship on Saturday, be sure to familiarize yourself with the rules, which have several differences from non-draft racing. Important Draft-Legal Weather Rules Notice
The Lead Official for the 2018 USA Triathlon Draft-Legal Duathlon National Championships in Greenville, S.C. has approved the following equipment for use during competition due to the expected weather conditions on race day, Sat. April 7.
Per ITU competition rule 2.8 c. (iii), gloves, arm warmers, leg warmers, or long sleeves and tights will be allowed for use during competition.
Per ITU competition rule 2.8 c. (xii), rain jackets will be allowed for use during competition. It will not be necessary for the jacket to match the athlete’s uniform.
Athletes should properly apply race tattoos to both arms and both legs under their pants and jackets or long sleeve shirts if they choose to wear them.
Please remember that there is a bag check tent next to transition that may be utilized for gear that will not be worn or used during the race.
Cold and rainy weather conditions are currently in the forecast for Saturday. Please stay tuned to the forecast and dress accordingly.
Team USA Qualification

Athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for the 2019 ITU Multisport Festival in Pontevedra, Spain (formerly referred to as the ITU World Championships) through the USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships.
Athletes may race in all 3 events in Greenville. Both the Non-Drafting and Draft-Legal Sprint-Distance events in Greenville will qualify for the 2019 Draft-Legal Sprint World Championship.
