The Outdoor Playground of the West
USA Triathlon is pleased to call Bend, Oregon home of the 2017 Duathlon National Championships for the second consecutive year.
New for 2017, USA Triathlon will offer three races in Bend. On Saturday, June 17, there will be non-drafting sprint and standard-distance races. On Sunday, June 18, there will be a draft-legal sprint. Details on Team USA qualification can be found here.
Whether you are looking for the opportunity to compete to be a national champion or simply participate in the most competitive duathlon in the U.S., this race is for you. The City of Bend boasts the nickname of “the outdoor playground of the West” for its endless options of trail running, cycling, hiking and more. With Mt. Bachelor and the Cascade Mountain Range nearby, the cosmopolitan mountain town has become an international mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and people in search of healthy, active vacation destinations.
Race Venue Notice
Please do not visit Summit High School during the week before race days. School is still in session and we wish to prevent any disturbances to students. 2017 Olympic Day Event
USA Triathlon is proud to have the 2017 Duathlon National Championships serve as part of Olympic Day 2017. Come discover the sport of Duathlon and be part of the nationwide effort to spread the Olympic Movement through the multisport community.
Team USA Qualification

Athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for the 2018 ITU Multisport Festival in Odense, Denmark (formerly referred to as the ITU World Championships) through the USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships.
Athletes may race in all 3 events in Bend. Both the Non-Drafting and Draft-Legal Sprint-Distance events in Bend will qualify for the 2018 Draft-Legal Sprint World Championship.
