Parking, Traffic, and Road Closure Information

Parking - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Packet Pickup & Race Day

Parking for athletes and spectators will be available on-site at Levi Carter Park starting on Thursday, Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug. 13 in the large open space north of transition area. Please see directions and the maps below for detailed directions and tips on how to access this parking area from the WEST ONLY each day. All entry and exit to this open space will need to initiate at 16th St. and Carter Blvd., no matter if it is race day or not. Note that road closures on race days may necessitate you taking a different route from your lodging place to the venue on Saturday/Sunday vs. Thursday/Friday.

Please be advised that if muddy ground should render Levi Carter Park inaccessible for parking, there will be a backup parking lot available for athletes which will be located at the Lewis and Clark Landing located at 345 Riverfront Drive, Omaha, NE 68102 . Athletes parking at this back up location will need to proceed to the Hilton Omaha or Embassy Suites by Hilton hotels to then be transported to the venue by shuttle. Walking time from the Lewis and Clark Lot to the Hilton Omaha is approximately 15 minutes, while walking time from the Lewis and Clark Lot to the Embassy Suites by Hilton is approximately 18 minutes. Please see the Shuttle page for further information on shuttle operations from these hotels.

Please note that Abbott Drive to the east of Levi Carter Park and Arthur C. Storz Expressway to the north of Levi Carter Park will be closed at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Coming from the north:

Please navigate to Highway 75/N. 30th St. and proceed southbound. Once you pass Fort St., stay right at the fork on to N. 30th St. and continue south on N. 30th St., then turn left on Ames Ave. and proceed eastbound. Ames Ave. will turn into Commercial Ave., and will then reach N. 16th St. at which time you can take a left and proceed northbound. N. 16th St. will reach Carter Blvd., at which time you can take a right and proceed eastbound into Levi Carter Park. Parking attendants will lead you in so please abide by all directions communicated from them.  

Coming from the south (downtown Omaha):

Please navigate to North 16th St. and proceed northbound. You will reach Carter Blvd. and can take a right and proceed eastbound into Levi Carter Park. Parking attendants will lead you in so please abide by all directions communicated from them.

Coming from the west:

Please navigate to Ames Ave. and proceed eastbound. Ames Ave. will eventually turn into Commercial Ave., and will then reach N. 16th St., at which time you can take a left and proceed northbound. N. 16th. St. will reach Carter Blvd., at which time you can take a right and proceed eastbound into Levi Carter Park. Parking attendants will lead you in so please abide by all directions communicated from them.

Coming from the east (Council Bluffs):

Please navigate to Interstate 480 and proceed westbound to cross the Missouri River. Take Exit 3 (14th St.), and at the bottom of the exit ramp continue straight on to Cass St. This will lead you to N. 16th St., at which time you can take a right and proceed northbound. N. 16th St. will reach Carter Blvd., at which time you can take a right and proceed eastbound into Levi Carter Park. Parking attendants will lead you in so please abide by all directions communicated from them.

Using Google Maps or Mapquest to Navigate:

If you are using the Google Maps App on Apple, Android, or Windows devices OR using Mapquest on a PC or Mac, please type in 1293 Carter Blvd, Omaha, NE 68110 in the destination box. Typing this in will lead you to enter the park from the west via Carter Blvd. The Carter Blvd. entrance is required by all athletes for parking on race days and Packet Pickup days.

Parking - CenturyLink Convention Center Events

For all ancillary events taking place at the CenturyLink Convention Center, parking is available in Lot B. Lot D will be open for overflow parking as well. Note: overnight parking is prohibited in these lots. All lots are ADA accessible. These lots are 3.5 miles from the airport and our host hotel, the Hilton, is directly across the street.

Surface parking is $8. Garage parking (when available) is $12. Cash payment and the following credit cards are now accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Bus parking (when applicable) is $20. In/Out Parking is not allowed.

Road Closures

Please plan ahead to avoid the following roads that will be closed completely due to the event. Road closures are subject to change without notice. Please follow the direction of police officers, traffic control and parking attendants, and USA Triathlon staff and officials.
