Omaha is a national sports hub. The city hosts the College World Series annually since 1950, and will host the USA Swimming Olympic Trials for the third time in the summer of 2016. Omaha has also hosted the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and most recently at the international level, the 2015 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix Final Round.

Omaha is the heart of the country. You feel it the minute you arrive, and it stays with you long after you leave. The city is filled with surprising features, including the world’s largest indoor desert and the country’s largest indoor rainforest. Omaha is the only place where you can walk on “Bob,” a one-of-a-kind pedestrian bridge with a larger-than-life personality. The Nebraska/Iowa border runs right through Bob so you can actually stand in two states at the same time — it’s called “Bobbing” — trust us, it’s a thing.

old marketOmaha offers a groundbreaking cultural scene, Smithsonian affiliated museums and a lively entertainment district filled with local restaurants, quirky boutiques, street musicians and great pubs. And any city worth its foodie reputation has a specialty, and Omaha’s lucky enough to have two. Best known for its legendary mouth-watering steaks, Omaha is also home to the Reuben sandwich — yep, it was invented here. Many have duplicated it, but you should always travel for the original.

Omaha is the center of the country making travel easy, and the airport is conveniently located close to Omaha’s vibrant downtown. Consistently ranked as a top value destination, Omaha is definitely worth the trip.
