2021 USA Triathlon Military Sport Award

This award recognizes the multisport successes achieved by the men and women of the US Armed Forces as they pursue the triathlon lifestyle, while simultaneously meeting the high standards and work ethic required to fulfill their oaths as members of the military community. 

ELIGIBILITY

Eligible applicants must be current annual members in good standing with USA Triathlon.

Active member of the U.S. Armed Forces while participating in USA Triathlon Activities in 2021.

Past award winners are not eligible for nomination. Past honorable mention recipients are eligible.

CRITIERIA

Nominations will be submitted through an application to the USA Triathlon National Office by February 28, 2022.  The recipient should have the following characteristics/affiliations and be able to defend the submission with examples that support the criteria:

  1. Describe how this individual has exceptional service to their country and the multisport community.
  2. Explain how the nominee exemplifies passion for the multisport lifestyle.
  3. Please list the nominee’s athletic accomplishments for the 2021 season.

SELECTION PROCESS

The USA Triathlon Age Group Awards Sub-Committee will select one male and one female annual award winner and up to five honorable mentions per gender from the applications received.

TIMETABLE

  • Date application is available online – November 30, 2021
  • Last date application accepted – February 28, 2022
  • Age Group Awards Sub-Committee reviews applications – March 2022
  • Award Recipient(s) announcement – April 2022
