2021 USA Triathlon Doug Clark Sportsmanship Award
Doug Clark was a highly-decorated triathlete and a multiple-time National Masters Champion who inspired others through his dedication and commitment to the sport, his humility, his ability to inspire others, his ambassadorship for the sport, and his high standards of ethical behavior both on and off the field of competition.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligible applicants must be current annual members in good standing with USA Triathlon.
Past award winners are not eligible for nomination. Past honorable mention recipients are eligible.
CRITIERIA
Nominations will be submitted through an application to the USA Triathlon National Office by February 28, 2022. Going beyond great demonstration of athleticism, the individual selected for the Doug Clark Sportsmanship Award must display fairness, civility, honesty, respect, and responsibility while training and racing. The award recipient shall demonstrate exemplary ethical behavior and integrity along with a humbleness and passion for the sport. This award is open to all USA Triathlon members in good standing, male or female.
SELECTION PROCESS
The USA Triathlon Age Group Awards Sub-Committee will select one annual award winner and up to five honorable mentions from the applications received.

- Age Group Awards Sub-Committee reviews applications – March 2022
