Paratriathlon was added to the Paralympic Games program in 2010 and makes its debut at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, but paratriathletes have been competing in the sport since the 1980s. Athletes now compete in one of five sport classes. USA Paratriathlon offers something to every paratriathlete, from the grassroots level to military programs to the world's stage.
