Among the 10 selected athletes are 6 members (Udo-Udoma, White, Garcia, Johnson, Browne, Nguyen) from the gold-medal winning 2019 North-American &. Caribbean Championship team. They will be joined by 2021 So. Cal Championships MVP Cody Dominik, 2022 Volcán Cup Best Defender Matthew Koman, and Team USA debutantes Mohamed Fofana and Jamison Whiting.

The NACHC Beach Handball Championships will be taking place in Acapulco, Mexico from April 24-28. The USA Men will be defending their title from 2019 and competing for the top two spots that will qualify the team for the 2022 IHF Sr Men’s Beach Handball World Championships in Crete, Greece, June 21-26.

“Naturally as defending champions you know the target is on your back and every team you face is preparing to try and dethrone you. It’s been three years since the last continental championship and I know the confederation will be on a different level than it was in 2019, but I also know we are on a different level than we were when we won gold in Trinidad. I’m excited to go to battle with my brothers against the best of the north in Acapulco, as well as reunite with the North-American/Caribbean handball family after an almost three year hiatus.” - Ebiye Udo-Udoma, Team Captain and reigning men’s continental championship MVP.

The next tryout opportunity for athletes will take place in May to select the team traveling to the World Championships (pending qualification) in Greece (June 21-26 2022) and the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama (July 11-15 2022).
