USA Team Handball Announces 2020 Academic All-Americans

USA Team Handball today announced its list of 2020 Academic All-Americans. The award is an annual recognition for collegiate handball players in the United States.

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate this year’s recipients of our Academic All-American award. We recognize the amount of hard work and effort it takes to excel in both academics and in sport as a student,” said USA Team Handball CEO Barry Siff. “With our organization’s emphasis on growing our collegiate club program, it’s amazing to see how many amazing college students are playing our sport nationwide while they work on their studies. They serve as fantastic role models for younger generations of handball players.”

Candidates must meet all the following requirements to be USA Team Handball Academic All-Americans:

  • Candidates must be eligible to compete under the USA Team Handball rules.
  • Candidates and their team must be current members of USA Team Handball.
  • Candidates must have completed their second year of school and be a scholastic Junior or Senior.
  • Candidates must have at minimum a 3.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) from their current institution to make the 2nd Team Academic All-American.
  • Candidates must have at minimum a 3.85 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) from their current institution to make the 1st Team Academic All-American.
