COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Team Handball today announced the hiring of Emily Hewitt as the organization’s new administrative manager and SafeSport coordinator.

“Emily brings a valuable perspective to our staff through her experiences and skill set, and we feel very lucky to have her contributing to USA Team Handball’s mission and goals moving forward. Our small organization is growing fast and making steady progress, and Emily’s addition to the team is a big part of this progress.”
Hewitt previously served as a Strategy & Business Consulting Analyst for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. As part of the USOPC’s internal consulting arm, Hewitt worked on interdepartmental projects, focusing primarily on process improvement, project and change management, and strategic planning.
"I am excited to join USA Team Handball and grow the sport of handball in the United States,” Hewitt said. “Handball is a dynamic, physical sport, which I am sure will capture American interest, and I'm thrilled to bring my expertise to the organization in our pursuit of competitive excellence in the lead-up to the 2028 Olympic Games.”
Prior to joining the Olympic Movement, Hewitt worked for the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) and Fireworks Sports Marketing. She earned a master’s degree in sports management from Columbia University and her bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from Middlebury College.
As USA Team Handball’s administrative manager, Hewitt will provide support in the areas of governance, finance and logistics. She will also lead compliance efforts related to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the U.S. Center for SafeSport and other key stakeholders.
