USA Team Handball (USATH) is pleased to announce the coaching staff that will lead the American teams competing at the Youth and Junior Women’s North American and Caribbean — International Handball Federation Trophy tournament. The event will be held October 15 - 20, in Montreal, Canada.
The United States will send two teams to the competition: a women’s youth team for athletes born in 2002 or later, and a women’s junior team for athletes born in 2000 or later. The USA Team Handball selection committee comprised of Christian Latulippe (WNT Coach/Chair), David Thompson (athletes’ representative), Dee Miller (board member) and Barry Siff (USA Team Handball chief executive officer).
“This is a fantastic opportunity to give our young women an opportunity to compete on an international stage. We are very excited to be fielding American teams to represent USA Team Handball up in Canada,” said Barry Siff, CEO of USA Team Handball. “It is absolutely critical to focus on youth development if our sport is to grow significantly in the United States. Events like these will help our players grow and improve, and I am eager to see how the tournament goes.”
