NOV 25, 2019 - The inaugural Phase II camp led by Coaching Director Paul green came to an end yesterday and we are happy to say that the turnout was unbelievable. The Phase II Camp brought in 150+ athletes out to the state of Nevada and all great athletes who were identified at the Talent I.D. camps earlier this year showed up and put everything they had out on the table. USA Taekwondo’s Coaching director Paul Green, and Coaches Brian McCutcheon, Russ Gale, and Chase Graham had a series of training sessions for the athletes to help them identify their skill sets and to help them choose who will be moving on to the Academy Camps. Not only were the training sessions meant to discover who will be moving on to the Academy Camps, but they were also meant to identify which athletes still hold the potential to become Academy Camp Athletes but need a bit more developmental training assistance. With that, athletes were also chosen for the Depth Charge Developmental Camps.
Please see below to view the athletes who will be invited to the Academy Camps and The Depth Charge Developmental Camps. Two academy camps have been announced for early next year. The Cadet Academy Camp will be on January 24-26 & the Junior Academy Camp will be taking place January 31 - Feb 2, both camps will be held at the National Center of Excellence in Colorado Springs, Colorado where the athletes will be taking on some high intense training with USA Coach Gareth Brown and will also be training along side the resident academy athlete's. The Depth Charge Developmental Camp will be announced soon! A big thank you to everyone that came out, proving that USA will be ready to dominate at the 2024 and 2028 Olympics.
