2013 SportAccord World Combat Games Team member change

USA Taekwondo announced that T.J. Curry has been selected to replace Mark Lopez on the 2013 SportAccord World Combat Games Team, due to withdrawal by Lopez.

The U.S. is one of a few countries in the world selected by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) to have its Male Taekwondo Team participate in the 2013 SportAccord World Combat Games, which will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, Oct. 23-24. The SportAccord Combat Games is a tag-team taekwondo event that features teams that must consist of six male athletes whose combined weight does not exceed 432 kg. Team Selection Criteria were developed and used in selecting the following team of male athletes that will represent the USA at the 2013 SportAccord World Combat Games.

Taekwondo is one of 16 combat sports that make up the SportAccord World Combat Games. The entire competition runs Oct. 18-26 at three venues. All taekwondo competition will be held at the Spartak Basketball Hall Oct. 23-24.
