2012 Pan American Championships

Colorado Springs, Colorado – Team USA finished an incredible run through the 18th Pan American Taekwondo Championships in Sucre, Bolivia with another four medals today including one Silver and three Bronze.  This brings Team USA’s three-day total to ten medals including four Gold, two Silver and four Bronze from the 16 athletes that represented Team USA.

The medals from today include a Silver medal for Sanaz Shahbazi (women’s -67kg) and Bronze medals for Charlotte Craig (women’s -49kg), Chanel Nguyen (women’s +73kg), and Stephen Lambdin (men’s +87kg). Other Team USA medalists from the three-day competition include Gold medalists Simone Devito (women’s -53kg), Lauren Hamon (women’s -73kg), Tashi Serpa (men’s -54kg) and Jason Neville (men’s -87kg), Silver medalist Mark Lopez (men’s -74kg), and Bronze medalist Olie Burton III (men’s -63kg).

Additional athletes who represented Team USA in Bolivia included female athletes Kelsey Junious (-46kg), Nicole Palma (-57kg), and Stephanie Beckel (-62kg) and male athletes James Howe (-58kg), Nathanael Ahlstrom (-68kg) and Tanner Creel (-80kg).
