Referees are encouraged to apply online to ensure prompt delivery of the application.  

Referees can register online by Clicking Here. There will be five (5) days of competition for this event.  Competition will be January 21st through January 25th. 

International Referees will receive a $100/day stipend, hotel accommodations for the night prior to competition through the last night refereed and meals for the days you officiate. International Referees must have completed an International Referee Refresher Course since April 2012 in sparring to be eligible for this event.  

If appointed, important dates and times for all referees are listed below:

Poomsae Referees:

  • Must arrive to the hotel by 6 P.M. on January 20th at the latest
  • Hotel accommodation will begin the evening of January 20th with meals provided starting the morning of January 21st
  • Mandatory referee meeting will be at 7 P.M. on January 20th, location TBD
Sparring ONLY referees:
  • Must arrive to the hotel by 6 P.M. on January 21st at the latest
  • Hotel accommodation will begin the evening of January 21st with meals provided starting the morning of January 22nd 
  • Mandatory referee meeting will be at 7 P.M. on January 21st, location TBD
International Referees that are selected will be responsible for their own round trip airfare and hotel incidentals. Any International Referee that makes their own hotel accommodations will be responsible for the entire cost of the room.  Any international arriving before their specified date or checking out after the day after the last day they referee will be responsible for those hotel charges and meals for those days.  

USA Taekwondo will provide transportation to and from the airport and the venue. When and if, you are appointed to referee you will need to provide airline arrival and departure information into the Orlando International Airport (MCO) ONLY.  

All appointed International Referees will receive an appointment letter and will need to confirm their appointment with the USA Taekwondo National office. All appointed International Referees will also need to check-in at registration prior to officiating to receive their credential.

**As a reminder, referees are NOT required to have a Global License from the World Taekwondo Federation.

Additionally, USA Taekwondo is looking for referees to work as computer operators at the 2015 US Open.  The applicant must request a paper application by CLICKING HERE.  Referees selected for the US Open as computer operators will only receive room and board for the duration of the event and credit as a referee for participation in the US Open.
