(Colorado Springs, CO – May 26th, 2020) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”), the National Governing Body for the sport of table tennis is launching ‘Ask a Champion’ Program today. The program is aimed at giving our national players and young athletes and others in the table tennis community, a chance to ask questions to some of the top-ranked players in the world. The program is headed up by USA Table Tennis Captains Olympians Yue Wu (Women’s Team) and Yijun Feng (Men’s Team).
“I’m very excited to start this program with USATT and for the first time, help the youngsters in the country to strive for their best with our resource during this critical time,” says Yijun Feng.
Nikhil Kumar will be the first champion to host the event on Thursday, May 28th, 2020 at 5:00 PM PST via ZOOM conference call. Nikhil is part of the National Team and recently won the qualifier at the Olympic Trials in February to earn a spot on the 2021 Olympic Team. The 17-year-old table tennis phenom will be able to give insight to young table tennis athletes on what it takes to become an elite player.
