Tomorrow marks the start of the 2017 ITTF French Junior and Cadet Open and also the premier appearance of the three Alguetti brothers as a team on the international stage. Competing in the Junior Boys Team event where they are seeded 4th, this will be the first time the three brothers have competed together at an international event.

Eldest brother Adar has shown no sign of slowing down since his acceptance into NYU Stern School of Business and the three brothers continue to be a force to be reckoned with in US table tennis. Just last month at the Westchester Open in New York all three brothers played outstandingly with Sharon overcoming Li Jian (2656) for a second time this year already and in doing so made the final of the Open Singles.

Gal stepped it up a notch by registering a win over Zhao Zhi Rui (2618), while Adar took down Sun Jian Hao (2568).

The brothers note France A and B along with Japan as their toughest competition but have their eyes firmly set on the team semifinal stages. Before that happens however they will face the challenge of the singles draw which precedes the team event.

Sharon on paper has the highest chances, seeded 12th in the draw although he admits he probably wouldn't be satisfied if he wasn't able to make the quarterfinals.

The brothers were able to get in a couple of days of practice at the French training club Metz where they bumped into an unlikely champion, Tiago Apolonia of Portugal.

Best of luck to three as they begin tomorrow!
