Kanak Jha

Fourteen-year-old Kanak Jha (Milpitas, California) became the youngest male in history to participate in the ITTF World Cup, held Oct 24- 26 in Düsseldorf, Germany.  While Jha did not advance out of the qualification group, he managed to extend world doubles champion Chen Chien-An (Chinese Taipei) to five games in his initial match of the championships. Jha also helped the North American team to the bronze medal and captured the boys’ singles bronze at the ITTF World Cadet Challenge, held Oct. 23-Nov. 1, in Bridgetown, Barbados.
