USATT Board Selects Members for Technology and Innovation Committee
Nine Persons Chosen to Form New Committee to Provide Guidance
to USATT on Technology and Telecom Issues
(Colorado Springs, CO – June 2, 2020) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”), the National Governing Body for the sport of table tennis, today announced that the organization’s Board of Directors has selected nine persons to serve on the newly formed Technology and Innovation Committee.
The nine members of the new committee are: Bill Draper, Daryl Sterling, Khoa Nguyen, Andrew Domzalski, Randall Medcalf, Rene Nielsen, Sushant Ubale, Tauseef Ahmed and Wai Sheng Cheng. The Board also selected Bill Draper to serve as the committee Chair. The athlete representatives on the Technology and Innovation Committee are Daryl Sterling and Khoa Nguyen.
“We’re extremely excited about the possibilities presented by this new committee,” said USATT Board Chair Richard Char. “Quite honestly, we were somewhat overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of persons interested in serving on this committee, and we want to thank everyone who expressed an interest in being a part of this committee. We believe that the group selected has a vast knowledge and experience in technology issues that could significantly and positively impact USATT’s ability to serve the membership.”
The TIC, which is charged with the role of advising and guiding USATT on all technology and telecom issues relevant to the sport of table tennis, is expected to hold its first full meeting within ten days and submit an initial report at the next Board meeting on Monday, July 6, 2020.
