Baiyu ”Bob” Chen of Swan Warrior TTC Named to 2020 Men’s Coach at World Team Championship

USATT is pleased to announced Bob Chen as the Men’s Team Coach for the United States at the 2020 World Team Table Tennis Championships, 22-29 March, Busan, Korea. Bob will join Head Coach, Jun Gao as staff for Team USA as the Men’s and Women’s team fight to improve their world rankings and contend for World Team Titles.

Chen has earned on-the-table accolades by winning the US Open Doubles as well as being a finalist in Singles. He has played for over 18 years and is from the Shandong Luneng Table Tennis Club in China.

He has coached in New Jersey at the Lily Yip Table Tennis Center, ICC in Milpitas and is currently one of the founding coaches at Swan Warrior TTC.

“I am very honored to be given the trust to help our Men’s Team do their very best at the World Championships. I look forward to working with Jun Gao and all the team members. In the future, I hope that I can make American table tennis better through my efforts,” replied Bob on his acceptance for this tournament.

USATT wishes the best of luck to Bob, Jun and the men’s and women’s team as they head to Busan, Korea next month.
