USA TABLE TENNIS ANNOUNCES ELECTION RESULTS
FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ POSITIONS
Thomas Hu and Dan Reynolds are Elected to the Two Available At-Large Board Positions
Will Shortz is Elected as the Club Representative on the Board
(Colorado Springs, CO – December 15, 2020) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”), the National Governing Body for the sport of table tennis, today announced the results of the elections for three available positions on the organization’s Board of Directors. In a voting process conducted amongst USATT’s active members that concluded on December 13, 2020, Thomas Hu and Dan Reynolds were elected to the two available At-Large Board positions, while Will Shortz was selected to take the seat on the Board as the Clubs’ representative. “We’re pleased to announce and report on the results of the recently completed USATT Board of Director elections,” said Han Xiao, the Chair of USATT’s Nominating and Governance Committee, the group responsible for the certification of the election process. “We want to thank all of the candidates for their sincere efforts to ensure a fair and civil process during the election, and we certainly want to thank all of the USATT members who participated in exercising their right to vote for these representatives on the Board.”

Under USATT Bylaws, the Board of Directors is charged with the responsibility of representing the interests of the table tennis community for USATT in the United States and its athletes by providing USATT with policy, guidance and strategic direction. The Board is comprised of eight members, including Chair Richard Char, Tara Profitt, Niraj Oak, Kelly Watson and Sergio Garcia, as well as the three persons chosen in this election. The next meeting for the USATT Board of Directors will be held by teleconference on February 1, 2021 and is open to all. Notice of the time, date, and access information for the Board of Directors’ meetings is posted at least five days before the meeting on the USATT website.
