The 2019 Seamaster US Open Table Tennis Championships are nearing as the city of Fort Worth, Texas prepares for the major event on USATT's annual calendar. With over 85 events, and the prospect of two more senior singles events in the wings for addition, USATT CEO Virginia Sung announced the addition of a US National Team tracksuit to be awarded to the winner of each of the senior singles events.

With over 85 events at the annual event, commonly attracting over 600 players from different destinations across the country and the globe, the US Open is a popular event for the many senior table tennis players who love to attend.

"Senior table tennis players are the backbone of table tennis in the USA and represent the largest demographic in our sport on a social and competitive level. We have decided to give away our US National Team tracksuits to the winners of the senior singles events at this year's US Open in Fort Worth to show them that they are part of our team and so they may wear our team uniform with pride at any veteran tour or championship events they may choose to attend in the future," says Ms Sung.

Ms Sung further went on to express her gratitude for the ongoing support of senior players across the country in the many roles they hold in support of nurturing and promoting the sport of table tennis in the USA.

"We have had some feedback from senior players with regard to the current US Open registration and we want to assure them that we are doing our best to listen and accommodate their concerns, including trying to schedule two more senior singles age categories into the tournament, we hope to have an update on that shortly."
