USATT High Performance has released the adjusted 2019 TTTeam USA squad for the rest of the year which has been established in consultation with the National Team Coaches, the HPC and HPD.

"We welcome five new members with Sally Moyland, Natalie Chan, Ann-Ping Shangguan, Raghav Thiruvallur and Kai Zhang, on the other hand, one player has left the group, but this doesn’t mean that there is no way to return.

We always mention that our goal is to find out whom of our athletes will be able in the long run to help our junior and especially our adult teams to be successful on world level and we would like to support these players to achieve this! For this everyone has to make his/her decision regarding efforts, dedication, environment and pathway to probably achieve it. We put a lot of emphasis on the performance in (especially international) competitions and common TTTeam USA camps, because it’s very important to bring the group together and to gain more international experience!

Latest by the Cadet age category our players should be internationally oriented and start to participate more in ITTF tournaments, as playing international and representing the country abroad are the basic ideas of being a member of TTTeam USA. Participating successfully in the highest events like Olympic Games, World and Continental title events is a goal, but this is not useful without prior experience at the international level." - Joerg Bitzigeio, USATT High Performance Director.
