TTTeam USA ITTF World Ranking Report - February 2019

The ITTF World Rankings for February have been released, marking more milestones for the US National Team players, with two standout achievements to note. 

Kanak Jha rises two places in the Men's ranking from 51 to 49, pushing his career best and breaking him into the top 50 Men's players in the World. With a move up to the first division league in Germany coming later this year, the US supporters will be keenly watching Kanak's progress.

The Top 4 Men's Positions are as follows:

1. Kanak Jha - WR49
2. Nicholas Tio - WR278
3. Nikhil Kumar - WR288
4. Yijun Feng - WR588

In the Women's Rankings, Jennifer (Yue) Wu rises one spot to a new personal best ranking of 45th in the world. Lily Zhang is pushing back towards her goal of breaking the top 50 and stands at 86th position, having recently committed to going full-time pro.

The Top 4 Women's Positions are as follows: 

1. Jennifer (Yue) Wu - WR45
2. Lily Zhang - WR86
3. Angela Guan - WR171
4. Taylor (Xinyue) Wang - WR205

The US Men's Team currently rank 41 in the world, while the women's team have made their jump into the top 20 ranked teams - ahead of the likes of Sweden, France, Brazil and India.

In the Youth categories, Amy Wang is the player of note - she currently sits at number 2 in the world for the junior girls ranking, with Rachel Sung (38), Rachel Yang (44) and Crystal Wang (45), all sitting in the Top 50. 

In the junior boys it is Sharon Alguetti who leads the charge, ranked 15th in the world. Nikhil Kumar, who has been more focused on senior competition, follows behind at WR52.

Rachel Sung is the standout performer in the cadet girls rankings, holding a position of 13th, while Emily Tan, Swathi Giri and Tiffany Ke all hold positions inside the top 100. Similarly in the cadet boys ranking there are also 4 top 100 players - Sid Naresh (32), Ted Li (60), Jayden Zhou (70) and Aziz Zarehbin (100).
