August 16, 2019 (Colorado Springs, CO) – USA Table Tennis (USATT), Nittaku, and Paddle Palace jointly announced today the extension as the Official Ball of USATT through 2024.

The Nittaku 3-Star Premium 40+ will be the Official Ball of the US Open, US National Championships, US National Team Ranking Events, US Pan Am Games Trials and US Olympic Trials. Nittaku will also provide additional balls for TTTeamUSA Training Camps, and US Hopes Programs/Camps. Nittaku has been the Official Ball of USATT since 1980.

“Nittaku and Paddle Palace have been partners of USA Table Tennis for almost 40 years, and we are thrilled to extend our strong working relationship for the next five years,” commented Virginia Sung, CEO of USATT. “Nittaku Balls have been the gold standard for their bounce, roundness, hardness and consistency.  We want the best for our members and Nittaku/Paddle Palace continue to provide it.”

“Nittaku Balls have been used at the Olympic Games, World Championships and have been used in more international competitions than any balls since its first World Championships in 1971,” continued Sung. “Nittaku balls will be added to our national ranking events/training camps for our national team and hopefuls as part of this new and expansive agreement.”

“Paddle Palace and Nittaku are fully committed to USA Table Tennis,” added Judy Hoarfrost, President and CEO of Paddle Palace. “We see continued growth with USATT Clubs, Tournaments, and Programs.  While there have been changes to the ball over the past few years, one thing has been consistent, Nittaku sets the standard that all others try to emulate. Nittaku and Paddle Palace are ready to serve USATT Members at all levels of play!”
