This weekend will see one of the USA's premier table tennis events descend upon Greensboro, North Carolina. College players and their teams from across the country have battled their way through divisional and regional competitions since the beginning of the season, leaving only the very best to compete in the prestigious College National Championships.

This unique event captures an exhilarating team atmosphere, as teams from the USA and Canada compete for the honors of the best Co-Ed and Female team titles, as well as for individual glory in the singles and doubles events.

Last year it was New York University who took the co-ed crown for the first time ever, claiming victory over Texas Wesleyan University - the leaders in NCTTA competition, having won 12 co-ed titles in the past 14 years.

Without a doubt Texas Wesleyan will be hungry to re-assert their dominance in the co-ed event this year, their team will be led by 2015 US Open Champion Wang Jinxin and 2017 College National Men's Singles Finalist Bruno Ventura.

The singles is a thrilling event, last year featuring a higher average rating than the US National Championships and with a handful of US Olympians in the draw. Defending champion Kai Zhang will certainly be looking to capture a back to back win in his bid to work towards 2020 Olympic Qualification, while defending Women's Singles Champion Wu Yue is training full time overseas and leaves the field wide open for a new champion in 2019.
