BUTTERFLY’s OFF-THE-WALL PARTNERSHIP WITH

INCLUSION TABLE TENNIS

NEW YORK, NY – Butterfly, the leading global provider of Table Tennis equipment and INCLUSION, the innovators behind an off-the-wall Table Tennis concept, today announced a creative partnership that will add an exciting, new spin to a sport that has remained relatively unchanged since its inception in the 1880’s.

“We are glad to enter a partnership with INCLUSION and Marco Santini in particular, aiming to commonly add a new perspective to table tennis and giving emphasis to its healthcare potential in particular,” said Sebastian Rangs, Director of Marketing for Butterfly Europe.

INCLUSION combines Table Tennis and Racquetball by attaching Plexiglas side walls to existing Table Tennis tables.  The walls were created by Marco Santini to give experts an added dimension for advanced, angled shots but can also function as “bumpers” to help novice players enhance their hand/eye coordination.

In June, Butterfly collaborated with INCLUSION at the 2015 Alzheimer’s Show in London’s Olympia Central.  Table Tennis delivers an effective therapeutic experience for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and the INCLUSION “bumpers” take that efficiency the next level.  By extending rallies, players can build confidence by spending more time enhancing their reaction times and less time chasing after balls.

“The addition of INCLUSION’s Plexiglass side panels to a specifically color-customized Butterfly Table Tennis table, created an enclosed ‘arena’ which added to the player’s sense of being in a secure environment, while elevating both focus and control,” said Ian Chambers, Creative Director of the Bounce Alzheimer’s Therapy Foundation.

Butterfly and INCLUSION plan their new product into the market at the 2016 Alzheimer’s Show in London.

“This is a fun game for people of all skill levels that puts a premium on mental stimulation,” said Santini.  “Partnering with Butterfly will help us bring this creative concept to the world.”
