1)      Why do you play?

For pleasure

2)      Which is your favorite tournament?

My favorite tournaments would be Sacramento, Reno and Nationals.

3)      Who is your primary nemesis?

Since I enjoy all my matches I don't really have a primary nemesis.  Howard Lindo is always good, same level challenge.

4)      What is your favorite tactical combo?

Slow spiny loop on 3rd ball.

5)      Thoughts on the Poly Ball.

I like the poly ball.  It seems to keep the mid-level player in the rallies longer.

6)      Toughest Loss?

I don't remember my opponents name, but he was about 300 points higher rated.  I was up 9-7 in the 5th and he got 4 straight drop over nets.

7)      Greatest Win?

Most of my great wins come in my mind on the way home from a tournament when I realize that if I would have just done one or two things better I would have won.  On the way home from tournaments I always play like Timo Boll.

8)      How you prepare for a tournament?

About 10 days before a tournament I usually eliminate all junk food from my diet and drop 3 or 4 pounds.

9)      When you see a new player at the club, what do you do?

I always greet new players when they come in the door.  I ask they how they found out about the club and why they came.  I usually hit with them for about a 1/2 hour, then have other club members hit with them.

10)   Player you would most like to play in a tournament?

I would like to play anyone for the Olympic gold medal.  If I won it would be my 7th gold medal.  Four in table tennis, one 5K and two in wrestling.

11)   If you had to face Jimmy Butler what would your game plan be?

I would institute the rule that all serves have to come 5 seconds after the last play.  I would try to wear him down by hitting the first ten balls over the barriers forcing him to run after the ball and return and serve in 5 seconds.
