2015 ITTF/USATT Hopes Program

Announcement: Parents and Coaches – If your child or student is an aspiring table tennis player with a birth date between 1/1/2003 and 12/31/2004, please read on! We have some exciting news for you!

Overview: The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)/USA Table Tennis (USATT) Hopes Program is a series of regional, national and international camps and competitions designed to spark motivation and interest for skilled and talented young table tennis athletes who have a love for table tennis and who wish to become high level table tennis players.

The ITTF Hopes Program culminates in Shanghai China, in late June and early July, with a table tennis camp and tournament. The best young talent from around the world will be in attendance. Only one girl and one boy Hopes representative from North America will attend.

To effectively choose the North American Hopes representatives, USA Table Tennis and the Canadian Table Tennis Association have agreed to stage a ITTF NA Hopes Challenge in parallel with the North American Cup in Toronto, this May 15 – 17, 2015. Six USA Hopes girls and six USA Hopes boys will compete against a Canadian squad to determine the sole North American Girl and Boy representatives.

The Hopes Program, however, is more than just selecting a winner in Toronto, Canada. It is a celebration of our fine sport and an opportunity for USA’s young junior talent to experience a free weekend camp and expert instruction, as well as a chance to compete against others in a USA Table Tennis sanctioned tournament for a chance to travel and compete against Canada.

Please click here for the ITTF Brochure explaining the program.
