1st Table Tennis Dream Cup Open and Fund Raising for Charity event are finally happening in Bay Area on Jan 1, 2016

Two Bay Area table tennis teen girls, Amanda Chou and Stephanie Chen, 9th grade and 8th grade respectively at Basis Independent Silicon Valley School, along with 4 energetic East Bay and South Bay students, Amy Wang, Trinity Sung, Lulu Ho, and Kevin Shen, are coordinating and preparing for the “1st Table Tennis Dream Cup Open and Fund Raising for poor kids in Africa Charity Event. The 1st annual event will take place on Jan 1, 2016, and all of the fund raised and the donation will be handed to TZUCHI, a highly respected charity organization, to support the poor kid in Africa charity events with a theme of “Dreams Come True with Table Tennis”. The final amount of donation will be published in the local Bay Area newspaper no later than Feb 1, 2016. All the donation are tax deductible and the TZUCHI is the sole beneficiary who will issue receipts to all the donors.

Per Amanda and Stephanie, they hope that they will be able to lay out the foundation and gain some great practical experiences through this Sport and Charity combined event, so that they can hold more events like this in the future, allowing other table tennis enthusiasts in Bay Area or even other parts of the world to enjoy table tennis in a fun, joyous, healthy and full with sport spirited environment and at the same time contribute to their fortunate with some of other causes that would benefit less fortunate children in other parts of the world. “We are hoping this is just the start. This event can be passed on and take place every year or even twice a year so that more kids in need may get some helps” said Amanda and Stephanie. These two aspiring teen girls smiled and said: "We have more plans to come beside this event. We like to promote more table tennis because it is really a fun way to get fit and stay healthy. Children who started playing table tennis early will more likely be able to enjoy it far into their future.”

Amanda and Stephanie sincerely invite all of the table tennis players, charity donors and media to join this festival.
