USA Synchro Age Group Athletes Compete in Beginning Phases of 2020 National Team Trials

2019  12 & Under National Team

(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) - This weekend 93 young women from across the United States will begin their quest to join USA Synchro’s two youngest National Teams. 

Three phases of trial events will be used to determine the 10 athletes selected to the 12 & Under and 13-15 U.S. National Team. Phase One and Two will be completed on January 18-20, 2020 at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic and Fitness Center. 

In Phase One of the National Team Trials, athletes will compete in figures and land skills. The number of athletes in each age division will be cut to 50 after Phase One. In Phase Two, swimmers will compete in figures, land skills and a routine competition. Then the number will be cut to 30 in each age group.

2019 13-15 National Team

The remaining 30 athletes in each age group will compete in Phase Three which will be held at the conclusion of the Junior & 13-15 Championships on April 5, 2020, in Mesa, AZ. Swimmers will compete in figures and routine competition.
