ANA Synchro athlete Ella Sharon is the only athlete in the country who has attended all USA Synchro hosted events in 2019. The 16-year-old has been doing synchronized swimming for eight years, and has competed all over the country.

The ANA Synchro athlete attended the U.S. Senior Nationals in San Antonio, Texas, and competed in senior duet, free team and combo. While there, she placed fifth in duet.

The athlete then traveled to Riverside, California, for Junior Nationals in which she competed in Junior tech and free team, combo and duet. They earned fourth place in team, fifth in combo and eighth in duet.

Sharon was at Synchro America Open in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she competed in junior tech team, senior free team, senior combo and was an alternate for the senior duet. ANA Synchro brought home a gold medal in Junior tech team and a bronze medal in combo.

At the Junior Olympic Championships in Tonawanda, New York, Sharon earned a silver medal in the 16-17 solo competition.

Sharon says it's her ANA Synchro teammates that keep her motivated to progress her skills and keep swimming.

"Having other people with you during the hard workouts is really motivating because we are in it together," Sharon said. "We spend so much time together so we get really close. We succeed together and I love the collaboration and family atmosphere in the sport."

Sharon hopes to continue swimming, and maybe one day swim in college.
