Synchro America Open Ready To Begin

The world’s top synchronized swimmers will take in the best of Southern California this week when they compete at the Synchro America Open, a leg of the prestigious FINA Artistic Swimming World Series.

Sponsored by Orange County, the 2018 Synchro America Open will be held June 7-9, 2018, at Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center (www.splashlamirada.com) in La Mirada, Calif.

Synchronized swimmers will compete in solo, duet, mixed duet, free combo and highlight routines in junior and senior divisions. Athletes from Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Ukraine, and the U.S. National Team will take part in the event.

The Synchro America Open will be live-streamed by Takeitlive.tv, and on-demand video will be made available at https://www.teamusa.org/USA-SynchronizedSwimming/Events/Video/2018-Championships/2018-Synchro-America-Open.

The event is part of a two-leg North American swing of the series, with the 2018 Synchro Canada Open having been held last week in Surrey, British Columbia.

The Synchro America Open is one of 10 events in the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series that made its debut last year.
