US Finishes 7th in Combo At FINA World Junior Championships

BUDAPEST, Hungary – Team USA wrapped up competition at the FINA World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships on Sunday, finishing seventh in the free combo final.

Team USA scored 83.7000 points in the final, up from 83.3000 points and an eighth-place standing in the preliminary. Russia earned gold with 94.2333 points, followed by Ukraine at 92.1000 and Japan at 90.5333.

The U.S. Junior National Team includes Grace Alwan (Andover, Mass.), Paige Areizaga (Palm Coast, Fla.), Yara Elian (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Nicole Goot (San Jose, Calif.), Hannah Heffernan (Las Vegas, Nev.), Cassandra Neeley (Williamsville, N.Y.), Daniella Ramirez (Miami, Fla.), Ruby Remati (Andover, Mass.), Abby Remmers (Sugar Land, Texas) and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian (New Canaan, Conn.).

Next up for the team is the UANA Pan American Artistic Swimming Championships in Riverside, Calif., Aug. 6-11.
